FAQ

Do you travel?
Of course! The only thing that matches my passion for photography is my desire to travel all over the US and globe trot! Technically, I'm a Boone, NC based wedding, engagement and lifestyle photographer; however, I am available for local, destination and international travel. I'll take care of all the travel arrangements to make things easy while you pay a flat fee. Please contact me for a customized travel quote!

Are you exclusively a wedding and engagement photographer?

While I thoroughly love being a wedding and engagement photographer because these exciting times are so full of joy and love, I also get great pleasure out of being a lifestyle photographer that captures families as they grow, so I do accept clients that are looking to have their families special connection captured depending on availability.

Are you an LGBT-friendly photographer?
When it comes to love I feel as though everyone deserves to have their stories told. PERIOD. I'm wide-open for same-sex couples who want to have their wedding, elopement, engagement, anniversary, or family documented authentically. ALL are welcome here in the WW tribe! :-)

What is the best way for me to contact you?

Email. Please email me at wayfaringwanderer[at]gmail[dot]com with any questions or concerns you may have. If you would like to schedule a time to chat via any other options, such as an in-person meeting, Skype session or phone call, send me a message through my contact form and we'll set up a time! I respond to email messages within 24 hours of receiving them! Alternatively, the contact form is also another way to get in touch with me quickly. Click here to send me a message.

We want you as our photographer, what's our next step?!
Send me a message through my contact form and we'll schedule a quick 15 minute phone chat to get acquainted, and to ensure that we will, indeed, be a good fit for your special day!

Why is a quick 15 minute phone chat necessary?
I want details! You know, the ones that you're working so hard to put together for your perfect wedding. I want to know what parts you're most excited about and what's important to you. It's also a great opportunity for me to find out what you're looking for in a wedding photographer since there are no cookie-cutter couples or weddings from my experience.

While I understand how busy a newly engaged couple who's planning their dream wedding can be, it's important for me to directly connect with my couples over the phone first instead of through boring ol' emails because we can discuss any questions or concerns you have right then and there! After our first chat, we will mostly communicate through email except for the occasional how are things going check-up and wedding day photography planning calls.

How long have you been in business?
I've been running my own photography business since March of 2010. However, I've been doing photography for the past 20+ years! It all started at a young age, click here to read more in the long version of my about page.

How many images will I receive?
The exact number will fluctuate. My style is documentary wedding photography, meaning that we just have fun while I create great images of you interacting and having a blast. I take many images during the course of a wedding day, and afterwards, I select the absolute best to edit and present to you. Overall, I don't shoot for a specific number of images. Instead, I aim to capture high quality images with meaning that will help you to relive your wedding day exactly as it unfolded.

No matter how many images are created, clients consistently received a minimum of 400 images.

Will I receive digital images?
All wedding packages include an online gallery with high resolution images that can quickly and easily be shared with family and friends by using a simple link. The ability to download your images all at once can be done with a click of a button, easy peasy. Best of all, no waiting for a DVD or CD in the mail! Family and friends will also have the ability to download individual images as they choose. Gift prints sized from 4x6 to 8x12 are available directly from the gallery for a minimal cost.

How soon will I see my photos?
I have a lightning fast turnaround time, no waiting a month or more to see your images! I'll have them ready for you and uploaded into your very own beautiful online gallery by the time you get back from the honeymoon! Typically, if takes 14 business days.

// PAYMENT QUESTIONS //

How much do you charge?
For pricing details, please check out the info page where you can find starting prices for all of the services that I offer. CLICK HERE

Do I have to pay for everything up front?

Nope! I require a reservation fee of 50% of the total package at contract signing to reserve your date. The remainder is due 30 days prior to your wedding date.

Please note: A reservation fee and signed contract are required to reserve your wedding date. Because reserving your wedding date would require Wayfaring Wanderer to turn away other business on that date, the reservation fee is non-refundable.

What payment options do you offer?
For all of my clients, including those who are long distance, I accept payment by check.

What if the packages don't fit my needs?
I am more than happy to work with any individual requests that you may have. I have items ranging from prints to canvases to albums and everything in between, including graphic design services.

Where does the name Wayfaring Wanderer come from? In 2005, I moved to Boone, NC, from Jacksonville, FL. Living in a new town and exploring the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains gave me a wicked case of wanderlust. When a neck injury/surgery from a car wreck prevented me from pursuing rock climbing--a habit I picked up shortly after moving to NC--I channeled my energy into becoming a full-time photographer. That's when I started going by WW. The adventure is still on!
